- What does it mean to design urban space?
- How can we create safe and inclusive communities?
- What are the pathways into a career in architecture?
A one day workshop for young people aged 13-18.
Come and build an interactive urban installation with Studio 40 Architects and architecture students from Anglia Ruskin University.
Get introduced to the principles and practice of architecture and consider career prospects in the architecture discipline.
Split into three sessions, Build, Play, Imagine, the event will seek answers to the question, “how can we create safe and inclusive communities?”
Throughout the day, young people will be challenged to reconsider the design and occupancy of the urban area in Basildon Town Centre. They will engage in a series of hands-on activities and design challenges that will seek to foster a sense of ownership and belonging to the urban space.
***Young People (under 18) and vulnerable adults must be accompanied at all times.

Studio 40 is an RIBA Chartered architect's practice based in Essex, combining experience with fresh thinking and a wide-ranging skillset.
