Award-winning community radio station, GATEWAY 97.8, is opening its doors to the public for a behind-the-scenes peek at their studios in the heart of Basildon's Eastgate.
Learn about radio engineering, presenting and various pathways into media during the morning session.

About the organiser
GATEWAY 97.8 is the local community radio station for Basildon.
The station reflects the interests, tastes, backgrounds, cares and concerns of Basildon's wonderfully vibrant communities. It introduces new ideas and new music, but never forgets to keep a caring and critical eye on the activities of politicians, local and national wherever they affect us.
Gateway's excellent community work benefitting young people and charities was recognised by the Prime Minister in 2011 with a Big Society Award - the station was the first broadcaster in the UK to receive one.
